MYSTIC POETRY

I OFFER HERE POETRY FROM THE MYSTICS OF THE PAST AND SOME VERY PRESENT

Please take some space for yourself to dive into these Sacred words of the Soul that have been given form as word so we too may find our way as beings of form in this dance we call life.

Pain, Suffering, Loss are the bed fellows of Joy, Peace and Love to know one we must wlecome the other, when we run from one we too run from the other............................

Khalil Gibran _

Lebanese philosopher (1883-1931)

pain

Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.

Even as the stone of the fruit must break, that its heart may stand in the sun, so you must know pain.

And could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life,

Your pain would not seem less wonderous than your joy;

And you would accept the seasons of your heart,

Even as you have always accepted the seasons that pass over your fields.

And you would watch with serenity through the winters of your grief

Much of your pain is self-chosen.

It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self.

Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquility:

For his hand, though heavy and heard, is guided by the tender hand of the unseen.

And the cup he brings, though it burn your lips, has been fashioned of the clay which the potter moistened with his own sacred tears.

“Our Faces Imprinted” From The Goddess Speaks by Dorothy Walters

“Why does your face look like me?

Or should I ask, why does my face look like you?

We are not two but a oneness,

never parted,

ever a single being no matter how many,

in vastness and love,

our faces imprinted

on every leaf and stone,

each passing cloud.”

My friend and fellow mystic traveller has been called a modern day mystic. follow this link  and meet Dorothy as she

reads a number of beautiful poems from her new book “The Goddess Speaks”
