In Memory of my Beautiful daughter Dominique Annan Byrne
A Soul so Ancient I had little awareness had come to be my greatest Teacher
"Belief, like fear or love is a force to be understood as we may understand the theory of relativity and the principles of uncertainty – phenomenon that determine the course of our lives.

Yesterday my life was headed in one direction, today it is headed in another.
Yesterday I would never have done what I do today.
These forces that often remake time or space, that shape and alter who we imagine ourselves to be, begin long before we are born and continue long after we perish.
Our lives and our choices like quantum trajectories understood moment to moment, and at each point of intersection, each encounter, suggests a new potential direction – ALL propositions"
~ David Mitchell ~ Cloud Atlas ~
“If we could learn to live from the level of the soul, we would see that the best, most luminous part of ourselves is connected to all the rhythms of the universe. We would truly know ourselves as the miracle-makers we are capable of being. We would lose fear, and longing, and hatred, and anxiety, and hesitation. Living from the level of the soul means diving past the ego, past the limitations of the mind that harness us to events and outcomes in the physical world”. Deepak Chopra
I am a Yogi––Poem by Dorothy Walters ~ A mordern day Mystic I am honoured to call a friend

I am a Yogi
Always there is a new experience,
surprise upon surprise,
opening upon opening,
how can I describe it?
I have a name for it.
Subtle, subtle yoga.
It is not done
on the floor.
It does not involve
twisting and turning
the body into
prescribed positions.
It demands acceptance,
a letting go,
inflow of that which
almost no one
has described
or experienced.
This morning,
a new level.
Energy that is sweet and soft
and subtle.
Accessed by acutely slow movement.
And concentration.
It does not matter which way
the body moves.
As long it is indescribably
slow,
a movie ramped down
to its lowest pace,
slow motion achieved.
Who? saw golden flame
everywhere
and sewed the words
into his coat?
Now this another new and rawest
experience,
unknown frequencies coming in,
preparation for the next stage,
when the physical body
no longer matters,
when we are pure energy,
light bodies of love,
acting in pure bliss,
delicate ecstasy,
a new being.
Every cell and pore
and tendon,
each bone and sinew
and covering,
all transfigured,
dissolved,
into the new creation.
Ineffable joy.
Bliss of the spirit.
Can you move so slow?
What are these delicate
sensations moving
through you, everywhere?
Can anyone tell you
what this is?

“The mind has a capacity to act like a recorder. A habit enters the recorder and then begins, automatically, to play itself back in your behaviour, feelings, and thoughts. Layer after layer of habit forms in the subconscious mind of each person. Used with awareness, habits help you act quickly, and automate actions that require little change. Used without a relationship between you and the mind, they steal your spontaneity, uniqueness, and projection. You have a choice: live in excellence and awareness or live subject to the stereotypes of your subconscious habits.”
-Yogi Bhajan
"When you come to the state of presence, naturally you are in a much higher state. And there is definitely a distaste at the thought of going back to the state of personhood.
Despite that, you may experience the sense of swinging into the state of personhood from time to time. But it becomes increasingly unbearable. It may seem that you suffer more than before, but it is only because you now know a higher state of being and this makes all lower states intolerable.
And this is good. It instils and strengthens the aspiration to be free.
Don't be discouraged.
Everything is serving your awakening.
And if you are genuinely seeking Truth, you will be carried along even while you are in this state of identity.
The support is there until the very end of delusion.
Keep this in your mind and heart."

On Love
Then said Almitra, Speak to us of Love.
And he raised his head and looked upon
the people, and there fell a stillness upon
them. And with a great voice he said:
When love beckons to you, follow him,
Though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you yield to
him,
Though the sword hidden among his
pinions may wound you.
And when he speaks to you believe in
him,
Though his voice may shatter your dreams
as the north wind lays waste the garden.
For even as love crowns you so shall he
crucify you. Even as he is for your growth
so is he for your pruning.
Even as he ascends to your height and
caresses your tenderest branches that quiver
in the sun,
So shall he descend to your roots and
shake them in their clinging to the earth.
•
Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto
himself.
He threshes you to make you naked.
He sifts you to free you from your husks.
He grinds you to whiteness.
He kneads you until you are pliant;
And then he assigns you to his sacred
fire, that you may become sacred bread for
God’s sacred feast.
All these things shall love do unto you
that you may know the secrets of your
heart, and in that knowledge become a
fragment of Life’s heart.
But if in your fear you would seek only
love’s peace and love’s pleasure,
Then it is better for you that you cover
your nakedness and pass out of love’s
threshing-floor,
Into the seasonless world where you
shall laugh, but not all of your laughter,
and weep, but not all of your tears.
•
Love gives naught but itself and takes
naught but from itself.
Love possesses not nor would it be
possessed;
For love is sufficient unto love.
When you love you should not say,
“God is in my heart,” but rather, “I am
in the heart of God.”
And think not you can direct the course
of love, for love, if it finds you worthy,
directs your course.
Love has no other desire but to fulfil
itself.
But if you love and must needs have
desires, let these be your desires:
To melt and be like a running brook
that sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own under-
standing of love;
And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake at dawn with a winged heart
and give thanks for another day of loving;
To rest at the noon hour and meditate
love’s ecstasy;
To return home at eventide with grati-
tude;
And then to sleep with a prayer for the
beloved in your heart and a song of praise
upon your lips.
